2019 has begun and many of us have made new year’s resolutions, some of which may come to fruition, some that may not!
Maybe for you it’s finally getting serious about that renovation you’ve been putting off for years or embarking on a new build. If either of these things are high on your to-do list, here’s some great tips for getting the most out of the experience…
- Use a Client Representative
What is that? First and foremost, they’re a representative of you, the client. Too often we hear of people having a bad experience when having a new house built or renovations done. That’s why we’re passionate about making sure they have a great experience!
- Be Prepared
The client representative is involved in all discussions at planning stage and at all site meetings during the construction stage making sure you’re kept up to speed with exactly what’s happening each stage of the project, giving the client peace of mind that nothing’s overlooked. They liaise between you, the client, and the project manager (if one is appointed), builder and any other trades. This ensures the best possible outcome for the client.
To quote one of our clients ‘If anyone is thinking of renovating Lurleen from I for Style should be at the top of your list!
- Enjoy the Journey
We believe the design and building process should be as uncomplicated and enjoyable as is possible. Clients need to be kept in the know throughout and any ideas or questions they have need to be listened to and given due consideration.
No project’s straight forward. There will be almost certainly be a few hiccups along the way, but it definitely makes for an easier and more enjoyable process if the client has someone on their side who’s greatest priority is achieving the best possible result.
