Pantone has announced their colour of the Year and it’s a winner! Like all colour, there’s a phycology behind it. According to Pantone, 18-3838 Ultra Violet is a dramatically provocative and thoughtful purple shade. It communicates originality, ingenuity, and visionary thinking that points us toward the future.
Used on mass, it’s definitely not for the faint hearted! If, however, you like to push boundaries, go for it!

Ultra Violet mixes beautifully with strong greens; this could be in the form of an indoor plant with glossy, bright green leaves. Add a dash of bright yellow (perhaps in the form of cushions or throw rug). To keep the colour toned-down a little, use it with lashings of white or a crisp, inspiring interior.
