Let’s face it, art is very subjective: you can see a painting and love it or hate it. Yep, when it comes to art we all have very different tastes. It’s important therefore to get it right if you’re to enjoy it to the full in your home.
But the really good news is that these days there’s a huge plethora of artworks to choose from that are very well priced. If, however you’re prepared to spend a decent amount of dosh on a piece of art but don’t want to pay thousands of dollars, it can be a wise idea to check out galleries that showcase works by new and up and coming artists.
Early in March I was invited by Penny Farthing Design House to an exhibition titled ‘Brazilian Dreaming’ which unfortunately I was unable to attend. The first photo is one of artworks from the exhibition.  Artist Flavia Julius has a passion for both Brazil and Australia and her artwork for the exhibition beautifully bridges the gap between the two distinct cultures. Penny Farthing Design House represents a number of artists so it’s worth you checking it out. https://www.pennyfarthingdh.com.au/

Of course your artwork doesn’t have to be confined to a canvas, it could be an installation (see the second photo). Artist Beatriz Milhazes specialises in collages, prints, paintings and installations which draw on both Latin American and European traditions.
