French Provincial Style House Good Forest, NSW

Client Brief:

The clients who own this beautiful property, affectionately known as Hartley House, have tasked I For Style with the overall redesign of their home, from concept through to completion. Nestled on 15 acres of land, Hartley House is a French Provincial inspired house where our clients love to spend time with family, friends and work associates. In addition to this, Hartley House is a popular Airbnb which can sleep up to 16 people.

Thus far the design and building process has included some interior renovations. A ground floor laundry has been enlarged to incorporate a bathroom/laundry and a separate toilet. The living room has been extended and a French country-style fireplace has been added. The living room and two of the bedrooms have been repainted and new curtains and blinds have been installed in many rooms. Two wing chairs and footstools have been reupholstered and a carved timber antique chaise lounge lovingly restored and reupholstered.

The exterior of the house has also undergone considerable change. An existing front balcony has been extended allowing for panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Two covered decks have been added to the back of the house for better access.

A rustic, American-style barn has been added to cater to health retreats and other events.
